Star/Co-Writer Ed Helms
Ed Helms
was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. After attending Oberlin College in
scenic Ohio, Ed headed for New York City to pursue comedy. For years Ed
worked in the comedy trenches as a stand-up comedian, eventually earning
regular spots at NYC's top comedy clubs and an appearance on the Fall
2002 season of Comedy Central's Premium Blend. Television commercials
have also factored heavily in Ed's career. In addition to numerous national
voice-overs, Ed appeared opposite Dale Earnhardt Jr. in a 2002 Super Bowl
spot for Budweiser. Ed has written and performed sketch comedy with numerous
groups over the years and studied improvisation with The Upright Citizens
Brigade. Ed can still be seen regularly performing at The Upright
Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC. In April of 2002, Ed joined the cast
of Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He also
plays the banjo.
Co-Writer/Producer/Director Nick Poppy
Nick Poppy is a Pennsylvania-born, Brooklyn-based writer and filmmaker.
His feature documentary (made with Chris Boebel), Containment:
Life After Three Mile Island screened at dozens of film festivals
and universities in 2004, and was supported by grants from the Puffin
Foundation and the Hugh Hefner Foundation. A graduate of Williams College,
Nick’s writings on film and culture have appeared in the Boston
Globe, The
Believer,
Salon
and indieWire.
